I can't get the gate to open in the "Tricky Lock" quest. all the columns are done and the arrow points to the gate and there is a flashing scroll above it. but it won't open.
I have a screen shot but can't get it to post here.

Check to see if the scrolls have disappeared from over the columns...if they are still there, then you haven't solved the puzzle.

All the icons are gone from the columns now. the arrow is pointing at the gate and the scroll is flashing above the gate now.

after taking a look over there, it was more that there's a nasty elastic band effect around the the first pillar to the left of the gate. You were getting pulled back there instead of going thru the gates.
tread with caution around that area until they can get it fixed.

Those "bands" are everywhere... almost unplayable at time because of them...(Im having em right now in enahar city)

to get the pillar quests done u've to open them in a certain order :
A - B - C - D (from left to right order)
if i remember it was
C - A - D - B

I'm also having trouble finishing this quest. All the pillars are done and the archway has a symbol above it but when I click on it nothing happens. I've refreshed and nothing changes... ?

Try giving the gate a double click. If that doesn't work, then you may want to consider dropping the quest, refreshing your browser, and then reaccepting to start from the beginning. I know this stinks in terms of the energy burn, but it very well may just do the trick.
If neither of these things work, please let me know, and I'll have Anwar or one of his more mortal subjects take a look at it.

I think gaspyr was right because my warrior, Malaysia used that sequence. However, weeks later, my sage Belle La Miss failed to get through using the C-A-D-B sequence. I think they have changed the sequence during one of the patches. Try C-B-A-D. I'm not sure because I didn't pay attention to memorize the new sequence when I was getting Belle La Miss through the gate.

MegaHack15, when you have the correct column the scroll above it will disappear, if you then pick an incorrect column the scrolls will then all reappear. So, it is quite easy to find the correct order by just making a note of when the scroll above each column disappears.
Once the correct combination is found, you may find you need to double click on the 'gate' to gain access.
