So like, what's the diff, other than the annoying time/lag factors, if i open another browser to find boss in forum map, or if i quickly check in-game map? And how many players just refuse to use a forum at all, cause they find searching and navigating far too tedious? i vote in favor of mapping the bosses in-game.
Btw, i stll have not located some of these "easy-to-find locations." Checking forum map, or even navigating there once or twice, does not guarantee that i cn ever find him again. Sry, but i don't have total recall and get lost rather often. i for one, WANT that map. if you don't, then deselect the icon please.

Well, you may just be out of luck, as they disappear if someone has defeated them recently.
I understand your argument, a fair point really. But there is another side. If bosses are made more easily accessible, the worth of epic items on the market will drop dramatically. So if you're a Rogue and you get a Sage item, it will be harder to sell or trade it. On the other hand if getting to the bosses is more tricky, the extra "effort" (such as going to the forums) is rewarded, and any item you manage to get has a greater value.
But let me repeat: I don't mind either way, we'll see how it works out.
http://nadirim.com/forum/post/7835
Then again there is no market to speak of (without trading), so...
http://nadirim.com/forum/post/7844
Making an icon for bosses on the map wouldn't be difficult and could be beneficial to the majority of players who just PLAY and do not care for the forum.(This is unwise to not check and know a bit about a forum, but it does happen) Realistically people do not favor reading these days. Along with the icon for bosses you could even add coordinates. It is difficult explaining that I am near a rock, near a pond, under the N of ______ TOWN. Ama knows what I mean

. Coordinates could ease directions as to where a player is waiting for the other.

On the other hand, bosses should be one of the top targets, for the most dedicated players. They are not to be handled to the people who "just PLAY" on a silver platter. Should the devs want to do this, they might as well lower their health to 100...

Also they are not meant to be soloed (unless you go back way below your level), so you are required to team up with others, and there is always someone who knows directions. If not, you do something else - like raids in other games.
I think that putting them on the map is easing this enough, maybe too much.
Pro tip from experience: go meet at a travel point and one player follows the other.
http://nadirim.com/forum/post/7857
My experience in other games shows that the great majority of players refuse to deal with forums. Those who do check, won't bother with a search. So you're saying that the great majority of players should be denied bosses? Just because they don't play by your standards? How long do you suppose this game will be around if the majority of peeps dislike some requirement of checking forum on a regular basis?
As for "meet and follow" option, some of us have lag issues: and not just me on my dinosaur, so pls don't cite that again. Many peeps get that *Loading . . . Loading* that can last for just a couple seconds or for more than 2 minutes. And we sometimes get it frequently. So other players must wait and return and return again to find us, in order to lead us to a boss? Nuisance for us all. I much prefer the proposed icon. I still will have the lag, the loading, but others won't need to go out of their way for me in order to lead me, and i won't have to keep crying "Come back! i'm Loading! i lost you!" Granted, mine is a worst case scenario, but other peeps have less patience and will become frustrated to the point of give up at a much lower incident rate.

Two questions about the upcoming patch.
1.) Should I wait and turn my butterflies and crystal rares in after the patch now?
2.) What will happen to the melons in my bag if the quest changes to fruits?

I dont think so. What would be the point of showing us the change log that early if we re not supposed to discuss it?

Hey, I just said they shouldn't be made too easy. They will be put on the map. There are already quests leading to a lot of them. What else should be done to make them easier?
It's not that I or anybody has higher standards. Almost every game has content that is not accessible unless you dedicate a lot of effort, time, or even money. There are, and there will be areas or challenges where you DIE if you are too low level, DIE if you go alone, DIE if you go with a bad group, and only have a chance with a good, coordinated team. But it would be futile to complain that this content is not accessible to people who just PLAY, right? There is no absolute equality in these games and there shouldn't be.
Regarding map coordination... I never had a loading screen so far, but I understand it can be frustrating. Coordinates would still be overcomplicating things, I think. I have never seen them in any game. Here's a suggestion though: people on your friend list, or people who whisper to you, should be able to
ping the map, or place an own
visual marker on it, which is visible to you too. Problem solved! Or better yet, they should just
appear on your map.
http://nadirim.com/forum/post/7886
As
Bleki said earlier you won't be able to trade items that were purchased for Gem with each other.
As I can see most of you are concerned about the Bosses. So, we decided to lower the XP for the Bosses simply because they were giving too much and not because they will be now visible on the map, additionally Adhara pointed it well out, they also have quite nice loot.
We decided to show the bosses on the map because, we wanted to make them visible to all players (yes, I know that they appear in the quests as well) and quite many of you didn't know at all about them.
Moreover I can accept the arguments of
Malcolm Reynolds and we also believe that finding bosses shouldn't be all the time easy and it should be something extra for the more dedicated people. We plan to add quite many new bosses in the quite near future, so we will simply have some of them hidden, in this way everybody will be happy.
@
Maldazar, a new area will be added quite soon, but it will be temporary.
@
dougie, the butterflies and crystal rares won't change after patch. Regarding the melons, you should get rid of them, because they will disappear after the patch.
I hope I could answer most of your questions. If you have any other comments please feel free to ask.

(Tho i have seen Coords in
every game i've played before. lol)
Well this would be a wonderful way to address the issue. Hope it can be added.

I have doubts, that this kind of direct player trade will work effectively. I think it will be pretty difficult to use only chat for selling items. I would prefer some kind of Auction House system, where players can offer their stuff for sale and others could browse the offered wares.
http://nadirim.com/forum/post/8119
I know what you mean. It will be usefull for some special items like epics.
Or perhaps if someone is out of health potions in grp and than dont have to go to the next npc to get some.

I've seen it work in other games. Even where Auction is available, direct player-to-player trades are quite active. The main problem seems to be where sellers are not online at same hours as buyers. For this, an auction house or the "peddling" mentioned by Perish
http://nadirim.com/forum/topic/993/Peddling
is more effective.
One thing we did in another game might help here? We had a section in Guild Forum dedicated to just trading. Peeps posted their goodies or their needs in one of three sub-forum sections:
- For Sale
- Wanted To Buy or
- Free to a Good Home
Then via forum mail, it was easier to arange a time for both players to complete the trade.
Only issues i see with this here are
- 1. the potential volume of traffic might be a bit much for this forum
- 2. we can't edit old posts to indicate Sale Completed, nor delete a post when we have simply changed our mind.
i have one idea that might help in this, but not sure that the mods would approve, if i create and mod a separate forum site dedicated just to trades. Another site can carry problems of its own tho.
Well i'm excited to see some sort of trade system coming in soon, and reserve judgement until we actually see it in use for a while.

i'm guessing that in such cases you might often be able to buy direct from you team-mates, or maybe a free-on-loan deal to a comrade, who will replace it when he
can get to NPC
Good point tho. Just for such an instance, i think i'll carry more pots than i need, in order to share with teammates.

I am really glad to see this excitement regarding player trading, and I am here to tell you guys this feature was only the first small step in our crusade for a rich, accesible player economy!
The Auction House will be implemented in the near future (don't ask for date as there is no such yet), with additional usability enhancements to player trading.
This recent trading feature is not meant to replace an auction house but it is essential for several cases. For example: a group advancing through an instance and they can mix and match they drops right away after each combat.
Happy trading!

Looks like rogue, already strongest class (arguably) is now stronger, warrior greatly weakened, new sage skill looks exciting
http://nadirim.com/forum/post/8191
Re warrior: Hold the Line leaving warrior dazed will make it almost useless, because warrior's basic skill yields only "light damage" unless Hold the Line can be combined with the skill that makes one immune to daze. My way of playing warrior depended heavily on Hold the Line plus Berserk--I guess I'll have to find another way.
If warrior's basic hit yielded even "moderate" damage, that would help. But no use having a tank that can't fire.

I think you did a great job with the pve balancing (warrior now isnt able to solo bosses and sage was too powerfull aggainst bosses with leech)
BUT
what about pvp balancing? Rogue will become even more powerfull against other classes now.
Im curious what exactly will be the fix value of the berserk incoming dmg modifier?
What exactly changed about the level 10 skils? No self purge anymore?
Will Hold the Line still decrease the output dmg of the warri or will it daze instead the dmg decrease?
Ashra and zen mobs are stronger: does this include the bosses too? Whithout leech i think they are already too strong now.

As with any patch that changes the performance of certain skills, I will encourage you to experience the changes, play around with them a bit, and keep an open mind before you start judging them. And yes, that also means being willing to step outside your comfort zone a bit and trying new strategies and skill pattersn
