Yep, I don't like the suppress mind nerf. Now the sage has:
Lowest HP
Lowest AC
Lowest Movement
Lowest DPS

Suppress Mind was the ONE good thing.
Now all that need to happen is to nerf the Rogue's Shadow, and all characters will be good at nothing, and suck equally as bad.
</rant>

LOL if one skill was all you used for the sage then it couldn't have been that good anyways. Not that the class was that interesting before the patch, but it just means you have to not be so dependent on suppress mind.

This is my point. thanks for the backup.

What else does the sage have?

Actually, sages have higher AC than rogues, the abbility to cut the damage they take in half once every couple rounds(which is very handy if you think strategically), the abblity to heal themselves, the abblity to Fear opponents so they run away, and teleporting(which can now be used to swap places or move where ever you want).

No, sages no longer have a one stop shop to so bosses and melee mobs, but they don't need it either; bosses aren't meant to be soloable and they have more than one trick up their sleeve.

I am playing with a Sage and I feel as well the nerf bat a bit, but I think that the combats are more interesting. Now, I am not marching through the quests anymore, so there is a bit of challenge.

But I still encourage you to give us feedback about the new patch, write us about your experiences and suggestions.

You have a weird argument there. If Ward is a skill that increases AC, then so is stunning, and so is a higher speed to run away, or even higher damage because enemies die faster and don't do damage in the following turn...

Those two comments are unrelated. One is pointing out that sages have higher AC that rogues, and thus one of her complaints were wrong, while the other was pointing out that they have an abbiltiy that no one else has.

Also to argue on your terms: So is having two healing skills that can heal a fairly nice ammount of HP, one of which is also does very nice AoE damage.

Playing both as a high and low level sage I've found the changes bring more interesting, challenging, and longer, combats - fighting Kar'Dir and Hammer Hussam, in the low levels for example, reminiscent of some early Closed Beta fights. I've found it requires a slight change in style and in low level sage, equipment, and a little more thinking about. I've yet to play the mid levels since the patch and it will be interesting to see how the changes may affect these. But, in the high levels, again, it is more interesting and challenging for me.

With the changes as a whole, I now see more use for Suppressed Mind, however, in group combat we are dependent also on our allies remembering that if they hit a target who has Terror (Fear) on them that it will be dispelled and could lead us all into a lot of trouble!

Also, since the patch, and for the first time I can recall, I have had no chat available with my high level sage twice now (other characters were OK) - a refresh has solved the problem on both occasions.

eh? Sho says we "suck"? If you're now "as bad" as my warrior, then i'd say you have a pretty good character there. i'm quite content with the way my warr fights, tho of course some battles are impossible for me to solo. So i need to team. So i sometimes die trying. Isn't that what the game is supposed to be?

1. There is life on lower levels, on lvl 17 I have only Bless and the occasional Life Tap (no AOE).

2. OK, I might have interpreted that in a different way. But the original comment stated that Sages have the lowest AC and you replied to that one. If the other comments are unrelated, then were you saying that Sages have higher AC than Rogues by default? (without equipment)

I'm curious because I don't have a Rogue. But it seems reasonable that a melee-ish class should have higher AC, hence, the Sage should shine in other areas.

And don't misunderstand me, I don't think this nerf ruins the sages. The bosses are much more fun with a group and I don't want them to be too easy either.

On the other hand: very nice buff for Swap! A lot of new tactical uses now.

As a level 21 rogue, every sage I have seen up till now at an equal level to me up to this point has had higher defense than I have. Not by a lot, mind, but still higher. As of now, my rogue has 7.2%, while sages in the same range tend to have 8.5-10% depending on their gear. I am using Brukka's Guttrippers, so I don't have a buckler on. Even so, they don't provide very much defense at all, so at best I could meet the sages I have seen in defense - but not beat them.

Xib said ingame that we are aloud to discuss the changelog again.

I realy think this is a great patch. Almost everything we asked for will be there. Lets hope that it works.

One point isnt clear for me. Will someone be able to trade energy potions?
There are a few quests at the beginning of the game where you get an energy potion as a reward. Someone could start 10 new chars and trade the potions to his main char. If energy potions can be traded, i think, it would be good, that energy potions from quests arent able do be traded.

Hmm, not sure I see the point in lowering the XP given by bosses just because you are adding them to the map. Most players who are intrested in fighting bosses know where all of them are, and if they don't they can be guided to them by the players that do. What I think would be intresting though is if they got added to the map after you fought them once, sort of like how quest givers only appear on the map in Zen once you have completed the Ashra storyline.

If you cant see the point of lowering xp for bosses in showing us on map where they are, then see it as a late result of the better droprate of the zen bosses.

I think lots of people prefer a good drop rate from bosses than good xp. Bosses are there for epics not for xp

This patch will be great

Any ideas on when there are coming new areas? I'm just playing with a second character now, because my other one is lvl 25 already and I've killed all bosses at least once with him... Would be nice if max lvl was raised to 30 and some new areas where introduced.

Drop rates weren't altered on Zen bosses at all. Last patch just added Epics to their loot, where before had none.

Many of the new quests introduced by the last update do in fact lead you to bosses around Ennahar and Ashra. You should be able to find a half dozen of them quickly. When you see a boss, you often notice it's at an easy-to-find location, such as going all down by a river or mountain near the edge of the available playfield, or near a distinct mark on the map (in case of Trash Elemental for example).

Furthermore, there is a topic with boss locations & discussion. Check #19 for a pretty good (if not up-to-date) boss list.

I'm a bit puzzled here, as I'm OK with bosses being targets that require some "arcane knowledge" and the need to team up with others to find and destroy them. But I don't mind either way. Given the sadly moderate population of the Hungarian server, I'm not too afraid that they will be too popular targets.

My first taught exactly, bosses should be seen on map only after you fight with them (even if you loose). This way you wont lower the exploration value of game. Also its no fun to have it all served on a plate.

Hell yeah:

+ Friend list
+ Battle chat
+ New message sound

Some doubts:

? Bosses may become too easy to find, but this is discussed above. The optimal solution could be that they only appear on the map after the player first fights them.

All the others: We'll see in practice! Unleash it!

I don't know anybody has noticed this for now but the XP in the boss fights are much lower from the last patch as well.
So I'm not really sure is it a good idea too decrease this lower Xp again. I think now the number of the Xp is all right in
the boss fights. Not extemely high but still good,so I wouldn't really make change in this, because mostly in a group fight
the Xp really would be so low if the decrease witll be very significant.

But the other features of the upgrade are very nice..I'm really curious about it
