The first of many waves of the Nadir's creatures approach the Empire of the Eternal sun. It is up to you to force them back, and take their limited edition exclusive loots. A total of 15 Djinns can be found near Ennahar Ashra and Zenithar and are eager to engage heroes wandering by. They brought epic weapons that are extremely rare and part of a unique collection, but if you defeat enough, you could be the lucky one to receive the rewards. If you find them, share it with fellow players and take on these monsters together!

They drop epics? Good to know. So far i seen only mundane junk. A "rare" drop seems cool tho, thx for the heads-up. We'll just keep trying.

Yes, they have an epic weapon which is part of a set, that the rest of the invaders will bring to complete, If the drop rate is too low, we will increase it with the next hotfix.

24 chances, still a big fat nada. That's below 5%. Or, just unlucky . Is it 1% drop rate ? Or worse ?

The invasion idea is good, and the art is great.

But the execution seems to me flawed.

The proffered idea requires a lot of hunting for djinns and doesn't feel like an 'invasion'. Further the item drop idea does not exactly encourage people to post lists of 'invasion' sites; why not just hoard the info and farm, farm, farm?

I suggest these modifications: make the invasion a phalanx of djinn mobs in a stated location (a bit like the storm riders) and the payoff fame plus a 'Protector Medal'. Then everyone has an incentive to congregate in that area, with a true 'all rally to save the empire' feel. The medals can go in collectibles and don't affect game balance. The invasion ends once a suitably nigh number of djinn have been sent to Djinn heaven. At some future date a nobility system system could be implemented, based on the number of medals earned.

Last but not least what about a bit more notice, so people can form teams to fight the menace!

Yours is a great idea for next event .

Although I think these guys aren't exactly hidden and easy to spot, you're right that some may hog the info and farm them like mad. That's what I would've done if I weren't too multitasked and occupied with new skill testing and able to truly focus . Don't worry though, I can only cycle 4 to 5 in a 30 min period . And aren't people calling for help anymore in CB?

Okay the drop rate will definitely be increased with the next hotfix and I'll also ask the designers what else we can add to the drop.
The djinns are scattered because their level also varies so most of the players can fight them, we didn't want to restrict the event to only higher level players. The next wave (some say, the ifrit are next in line) however could appear as a phalanx, though we will have to give this some thought. I'll also ask for a way to sum up the number of defeated foes and put out some in-game notifications.

BTW, is there a way for the current event to make it so that:
  • Keep the drop rate low
  • Each victory increases the drop rate for one char

So, for example. if we start with 1% drop rate, by the time one char has had 19 victories over the djinn, s/he will enter 20th bout with 20% drop rate. You can cap the drop rate here if you wish. And, you can take one step further by resetting the drop rate back to 1% for every successful drop for one char. So, that will keep the rarity status relatively high.

Has the drop rate increased yet? I haven't fought Djinns in about 24 hours now, but at that point, I had fought about 15 with a 2 character team (so about 30 chances) and got zero drops apart from common green stuff.

Has anyone received any of the rare drops yet? If so, please speak up and share some info!
